Mark Wynne won the latest open match held at Shiplate Farm Fisheries.

The latest open match on the Main Lake at Shiplate Farm Fisheries was won by Mark Wynne (peg 9a), fishing the pole shallow with 6mm pellets.

He managed a total bag of 55.4lbs, which was good considering the carp are about to spawn and had a definite lack of appetite in the heavy heat.

Other good weights were Rob Birch (peg 15), 43.12 lbs and Steve Howell (peg 10), 35.13 lbs. Silvers went to Dom Sullivan (peg 2), 16.10 lbs and Ray Wickham (peg 9), 11.8 lbs.

The open match held on the Hawthorns saw Steve Howell on peg eight, bag up 139lb 12oz to win the match.

He was followed by Russ Peck (peg 5), with 118.4 lbs and Gary Flinders (peg 3), 94.4. Silvers went to Golly Jones (peg 13), 18.4lbs.
