King Alfred School year 10 pupil Megan Robinson has just finished a successful season.
She has been playing football since she was four years old and plays for Somerset ACC Under-16s; Yeovil Town Ladies Under-16s; the South West Centre of Excellence Under-17s and Somerset Schools Under-16s.
Megan was part of the Somerset schools county team who took part in an inter-county competition across the UK. Her team won from the South West and got through to the national cup where they beat Sussex in the quarter-finals and Dorset in the semi-finals and played the final against Staffordshire at Birmingham City’s stadium on a full-sized pitch.
Sadly they lost 2-1 after a great performance and it was the first time that a Somerset school had ever got through to the final. Megan’s team went on to win the South West regional final against Dorset.
