HEATHER Duddy won the Friday night junior matchplay trophy for March at the Avenue Tennis Club.

Heather won the trophy with 20 points, just one ahead of Stuart Kilmartin and two ahead of Josh Lutner from Weston. After two months she also leads the cumulative monthly points score; details of the results can be seen on the Avenue's website - www.avenuetennis.com. Head coach Vinny Duddy said the Friday night match play event is for those junior members who are in school year 7-plus and is run as a doubles event with Craig choosing players to compete against each other as and when matches finish so there is no waiting around and has proved to be a great success so far.

Details of tennis coaching courses held at the Avenue Tennis Club can be obtained from the office (01278 782758) or from the club website www.avenuetennis.com
