A BRIDGWATER College student has secured a prestigious two year work placement in a Wiltshire-based race team.
James Jefferson, aged 20, from Weston, was approached by Mark Bailey Racing after seeing the student race at Castle Combe. After assessing a number of students over several weeks, he was one of three chosen by the company.
The two year placement will be carried out one day a week to fit in with college lessons and will include race weekends. James will work on Formula 3 and Formula Ford racing cars, motorsport transmission systems and assist with the preparation for races.
