LYMPSHAM karting ace Robbie Gallier, aged 14, received a major boost as he has attracted support from the Italian Kart manufacturer CRG.
The youngster went to many different tracks all over the country and abroad, finishing on the podium in all but a few races and winning at Fullbeck, a track he had never raced at before.
Mark Collings of CRG UK, spotted Robbie’s talent when he first started racing at the Llandow track, where he broke the lap record and has offered to support Robbie as a factory supported driver for 2012 and 2013.
It is hoped Robbie can now compete in the British Championship and at least one major race abroad in 2012.
Robbie said: “This is such an amazing help, working with CRG will be great and all I hope is I can race in the British Championship. I just cannot wait for the season to start.”
To ensure this can happen he does need additional support as racing at top level is expensive said Chris Hutchings, who is helping the youngster. “With it being tough out there, we are hoping that we can attract some additional backing as I believe, as Mark Collings does, Robbie has a real future in motorsport.”
