Nailsea end their league season

CROQUET - NAILSEA Croquet Club's league marches have now been completed and here are the final league positions of their teams:
Federation South East played 5, won 3, lost 2, position 2; Federation Central 5, 2, 3, 4; Intermediate South East 4, 3, 1, 2; Intermediate Central 5, 2, 3, 4; B League South East 5, 4, 1, 1; B League Central 5, 4, 1, 2; Golf Croquet South East 4, 3, 1, 1; Golf CroquetCentral 5, 4, 1, 2; Golf Croquet South West 5, 0, 5, 6.
The two Advanced League teams still have three matches to play, so their final positions are not yet known.
A visiting team from Cornwall played a friendly match at Nailsea. The match consisted of a mixture of doubles golf croquet and singles association croquet. The golf croquet finished as a draw, six games all, but Nailsea lost the association croquet 11-7.

Two of Nailsea's Golf Croquet teams had a friendly match, Nailsea Central beat Nailsea South East 12-8.

In an Intermediate League semi-final at Nailsea, Bristol had a convincing 6-1 win over Broadwas, due to their better break play. Bristol will play Exeter in the final on September 20.
