ROUNDERS - NAILSEA Ladies' Rounders Club has just completed their fourth and most successful season to date, winning three out of the five friendly matches played against teams from Weston and Clevedon.

There were some close matches, and in total the team scored 93 rounders with 82.5 against.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the club this year, in particular to umpire Richard Lancaster.

The club plays at the Grove Playing Fields and were recently challenged to a match against the Nailsea cricket mums as part of the cricket club annual fun-day.

Following a quick warm-up and run through the rules the mums were ready, but rain stopped play after only one innings, resulting in a score of 12-3. They were good sports and we may even have some new members.

The end of season awards are planned for October 2 at the Grove and rounders starts again next May.

New members are welcome so if anyone is interested in playing ladies' rounders or needs help setting up a team, please contact ceri.manton@blueyonder.co.uk
