Federation League: Exeter 3, Nailsea (South) 2. Doubles: Geoff Hughes and Greta Stringer lost -7. Singles: David Richards won +16 and +22; Geoff Hughes lost -23; Greta Stringer lost -8.

Advanced League (Division 2): Nailsea 2nds 3, Bath 4. Doubles: Ryan Cabble and Peter Dyke won +11. Singles: Geoff Hughes lost -13 and -12;

Pat Long won +2T (23-21) and +15; Ryan Cabble lost -2; Peter Dyke lost -19.

Nailsea were 2-1 up at lunch, but lost three of the four singles games in the afternoon. This was a creditable performance from the Nailsea team whose handicaps totalled 20.5 compared the Bath team's total of four in this level advanced match.

Pat Long played exceptionally well, winning both her singles games against stronger opponents and her handicap was reduced from 4.5 to 4 at the end of the match.

Ryan Cabble (handicap 6) and Peter Dyke (7) did well to win the doubles against opponents whose handicaps were -0.5 and 1.5. Ryan was unlucky to lose his singles by two points against a stronger and more experienced player who pegged him out.

For the second time in two days a Nailsea team was 2-1 up at lunch and lost three of the four singles games in the afternoon. In the doubles, the Taunton players used seven extra turns to establish a 15-point lead in this handicap match, but Peter made an eight-hoop break and Kriss completed an all-round break and a double peel to win the game.

In the morning Ryan was pegged out by his opponent who also pegged out his own ball reducing it to a two-ball game; Ryan made a valiant attempt to reduce the lead his opponent had at the beginning of the two-ball game, but was unable to catch up and lost by two points. Steve Walker played particularly well and won both his singles games. Peter's singles opponent used her extra turns to establish an 11-point lead; Peter managed to reduce the deficit to four but ran out of time.

Intermediate League: Nailsea (SE) 2, East Dorset 3. Doubles: Mary Barnes and Linda Shaw lost -2T (10-12). Singles: Chris Jackson won +3 and lost -6T (11-17); Mary Barnes lost -12T (8-20); Linda Shaw won +15T (19-4).
