Weston Central Skittles League suffered a narrow nine-pin defeat against their Highbridge counterparts.
THE second leg of the George White Cup took place at the 37 Club, Puriton, between the Weston Central and Highbridge leagues.
The game was going the way of the Highbridge until Central came back at them and going into the last hand, Highbridge were leading by just a few pins.
It was up and down all the way until the last two players, when Highbridge took control and went on to win by nine pins. The cup has been played for 25 years and the games are always close, with leading 13-12 overall.
