Team Mendip Under-12s girls defeated Berrow 2-1 in a local derby.
TEAM Mendip Under-12s played against a new and improved Berrow side in a local derby.
The girls won the game 2-1 with goals from Annabel Cunningham and Bayley Farrow. At times, some of Mendip’s passing was a joy to watch on a difficult pitch, especially as they haven’t played for a few weeks.
Berrow’s keeper was in fine form to keep Mendip from going further ahead. This win keeps pressure on top of the table team Clevedon, who the girls play next week.
Emily Mitchell was the Frankie and Benny’s girl of the game for her overall outstanding performance.
