CHURCHILL played well in their latest pre-season friendly against tough opponents Wells City.
The home side’s counter-attacking complemented the strong defence and it was no surprise that from a Wells corner, Churchill broke quickly and Elliot Nelson scored from the penalty spot after he was fouled.
Wells equalised after a defensive error and after the break, Churchill took the lead with goals from Tom Fozzard and Joe Kay, sandwiching a penalty for Wells.
