WRINGTON Cricket Club would be pleased to hear from anyone who would like to play cricket for a successful local village team.

Both senior sides were champions of their respective divisions in 2010, and this season the 1st XI will again play in Division 1 of the North Somerset League, whilst the newly-promoted 2nd XI will play in Division 3.

There will also be a series of Sunday and midweek friendly games during the season and the club’s junior teams will take part in the North Somerset Youth League, so any youngsters inspired by the recent Ashes victory and who would like to enjoy cricket at an active local club will be most welcome.

The club has its own outdoor nets, an all-weather pitch and bowling machine, and provides coaching for all youngsters. Pre-season indoor nets at Sidcot School start on March 6 (5-6pm for juniors up to Under-15 level and 6-7pm for all others) and will run each Sunday until April 10.

For more details about the club, please contact Marshall Clements Jnr, 1st XI captain (07854 217723), Dan McMullen, 2nd XI captain (07947 192029) or the club secretary Phil Parker on 01934 862818.
