A new off-road running group has been set up by Weston Athletic Club aimed at all abilities.

TWAC (Trail Weston Athletic Club) is a new group set up by Weston Athletic Club aimed at all abilities of running.

The group focus on teamwork, building community and confidence, more than just running and a friendly environment to train hard. Another one of the goals is to get people off the tarmac and visit some of the local beauty spots.

The group meet Monday nights at a different locations and sessions are split into five categories. Hill repeats, step repeats, TTT (trail time trial), distance runs and social runs.

At the end of each session there is an award ceremony to reward the hard work put in and then go the pub.

If you would like to find out more, like our closed Facebook page ‘TWAC’ or contact Woots on 07861 250448.

There is no charge to come along and try some sessions and when you do love it, you can join Weston Athletic Club for £20 a year and that covers all TWAC sessions. Also that gives you lots of more options of training over the week with the on-going club sessions.
