FOR Nisha Wells, a Priory Volleyball Club Under-14 player, this has been a successful season, having gained winners' medals in the South West junior beach championships and the SW mini Grand Prix series. She was also been chosen to take part in the SW region Under-14 girls' team that participated in the national junior regional championships in Sheffield. She has now capped that with an invitation to join an England junior women development camp at RAF Upper Heyford in August. The invitation results from Nisha having been spotted by Peter Brooks, the national development coach, while taking part in the national regional junior championships. Nisha is delighted to have been invited to join this group of potential England junior players, all of whom will be conscious that over the next few years participation in national squads could lead the way to involvement in the London 2012 Olympic Games. Before the development camp, Nisha will again turn out for her club side when on Thursday (27th) Priory girls will play against a visiting Italian girls' team being brought to England by Wayne Hadley, a former Priory club player. The matches take place at Priory Sports Hall between 6.30 and 8.30pm. All spectators will be welcome.
