An open match was held at Shiplate Farm Fisheries, with 12 anglers taking part.
THE Easter Sunday open match on the Hawthorns at Shiplate Farm Fisheries was attended by 12 anglers.
The worst of the rain managed to hold off till just after the match, but the strong, gusty winds did not help those fishing the pole.
Steve Howell won the match from peg one, fishing meat to the far bank and worm down the margins, feeding micro. Steve only just managed to outrun Dom Sullivan on peg 14 to first place with 56lb 12oz.
Results: Steve Howell (Shiplate) p1, 56lb 12oz; Dom Sullivan (Cadbury/Maver) p14, 51lb 1oz; Don Sutherland (Cadbury/Maver) p3, 34lb 1oz. Silvers went to Julian Pinkett (Bristol PO) p12, 13lb 1oz.
