Angler Steve Howell won the latest open match held at Shiplate Farm Fisheries.
An open match on the Hawthorns at Shiplate Farm Fisheries, saw Steve Howell bag 107lb 6oz from peg seven, even though the air pressure was changeable and the conditions were breezy.
Steve worked hard to get the fish feeding, fishing worm on the pole over ground bait to the far shelf. He slowly gathered the haul that won him the match by a good margin.
Second was Julian Pinkett (peg 9), 78lb 2oz, followed by Russ Peck (peg 14), 64lb 4oz. Silvers went to Dom Sullivan (peg 12), 14lb 8oz.
