AN open pair’s match was held on the Main Lake at Shiplate Farm, Bleadon, with one partner of each pair on opposite sides of the lake.
With more even weather temperatures and the rise in water temperature, the fish started spawning at the weekend, making the fish harder to get focused on the bait.
The end results were saw good weights all around the lake. Soft pellet, maggot and corn produced the best results.
Results: Ron Stark (Weston AA)/John Dursley (Enterprise Angling) pegs 9a and 5, combined weight 96lb 8oz; Andy France (Cadbury Angling)/Andy Curry (Frys) pegs 7 and 14, combined weight 85lb; Andy Light (Shiplate)/Tom Light (Shiplate) pegs 10 and 1, combined weight 60lb 2oz.
Silvers went to Johnny Page and Simon Ryall, pegs 4a and 11, combined silver weights 16lb 6oz.
