KINGFISHERS Netball Club faced their toughest opponents in their summer league group - Bobbies.

However, they came to the match with a determined attitude and fighting spirit resulting in an early lead. Jane (GS) stood up well against a constant barrage of physical defence sinking everything passed to her.

But without a doubt, the player of the match (for a second week running) was Kelly (GD). With excellent ball watching, she was able to secure numerous interceptions and made sure her opponent made no impact on the game.

Bobbies made a few tactical changes at half-time, resulting in a brief lack of concentration from Kings, but it was not enough to catch up the deficit and Kings well deserved the resounding 38-25 victory.

Undefeated, Kings finished top of the table and are through to the semi-finals.

New players always welcome at Hans Price Academy (8pm) on Mondays or check out www.pitchero.com/clubs/kingfishernetballclub
