PANTHERS enjoyed a closely-fought derby encounter against Weston, emerging 43-36 winners.
An evenly-balanced first quarter saw the Panthers move the ball fluidly down the court, despite some good interceptions from Weston’s defence. Great attacking combinations saw the Panthers feed the ball smoothly into their shooters.
By the third quarter, Weston failed to break Panthers flow and fell further behind. Despite Weston’s best efforts and outstanding shooting from their GS, they could not gain ground on panthers lead.
Player of the match was awarded to Jenna Ratcliffe. Players’ player was awarded to Tracey Bell.
