Clarence ladies were presented with the county Fear Plate at the Somerset Bowls Association annual lunch at Batch Country Farm in Lympsham.

CLARENCE ladies were presented with the county Fear Plate during the Somerset Bowls Association annual lunch at Batch Country House, Lympsham.

Quite a few members of the winning team were in attendance to see vice-captain Shirley Scoins receive the trophy. She skippered Clarence in the later rounds of the competition after captain Pauline Burrough had been taken ill.

Clarence beat Prattens, from Midsomer Norton, in the final at Ashcombe last month.
