Podimore placing

Weston Wheeler took part in the recent time trial on the A303 Podimore course.

WESTON Wheeler Rob Heathcote rode the Yeovil CC 10 mile time trial on the A303 Podimore course.

The rain finally stopped to leave a bright, but very windy afternoon. Heathcote returned with 24.46 (24.3mph average speed) to finish 35th out of a field of 74 riders. The event was won by Andrew Perkins of Mid Devon CC with 21.17 (28.3mph). Terry Icke of Poole Wheelers took second place 21.43 (28mph), an amazing achievement for a rider 68-years-old.
