POSSET secured a vital win against fellow strugglers Roman Glass with a solid performance and with it their first clean sheet of the campaign.
The first goal came after only four minutes when a clever ball from James Clarke released Danny Benn who outpaced the home defence and squared for James Hughes to slot home at the far post.
The home side then had a period of domination but failed to capitalise on their possession and indeed Posset who went further ahead on the stroke of half time when a quick breakaway saw Hughes put in Mapstone who raced clear to draw the home keeper and slot in a fine goal.
The second half saw Posset control possession and were rewarded when Hughes claimed his second goal from close range after a long throw from Benn was well flicked on by Kieron Marsden.
Posset entertain Shepton Mallet on Saturday, October 3, at Bristol Road, 3pm kick-off.
