It may be the summer break for Weston Football Club but head coach Scott Bartlett is still working hard to finalise his squad ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Today (Thursday) some more pre-season friendlies have been announced, with a number of football league clubs making their way to The Woodspring Stadium throughout July.

Unsurprisingly, Forest Green Rovers will visit the ground on July 18, with Bartlett still holding his role as head of youth at the newly-promoted League Two club.

As well as this, Gary Johnson’s Cheltenham Town will also make their way down to North Somerset, with the squad also set to enjoy trips to Salisbury City and Cinderford Town.

In other news this week, former Bristol Rovers defender Danny Greenslade has joined the Seagulls on a permanent basis. He joins Luke Purnell, Liam Kingston, Chris Barker, Jamie Laird, Jason Pope, Dayle Grubb, Ash Kington, Jacob Cane, Gethyn Hill, Jake Lee and Jake Reid in agreeing deals for next season, as Bartlett prepares for his first full season at the club.
