Two former Weston prop forwards have made the move into being player/coaches at the respective clubs.

FORMER Weston RFC prop David Swann will be Somerset Premier club Minehead Barbarians’ player/coach next season.

Thirty-four-year-old Swann made 144 first XV appearances during his two spells with the Seasiders from 2002 to 2005 and 2010 to 2014. He was club captain in his final season.

Another former prop Tim Mathias (33) played his final match for Cornish All-Blacks at Bishops Stortford last week before retiring.

Mathias, who made 53 appearances for Weston, will become player/coach for Devon and Cornwall league club Plymstock Albion Oaks.
