Totterdown Demons are doing well in their first Division 1 season and enjoyed an 8-2 win over Totterdown C. Jason King and Graham Cheeseman won all three, Nigel Andrews lost out to Garry Chell. There was some consolation for Totterdown, when Chell and Mark Price won the doubles against King and Cheeseman.
In Division 2, it was a tough match for Totterdown Flamingos against C & C Banwell B. Top Scorer Phil Orchard beat Banwell’s Max Bretherton and Mike Skidmore in two, but needed all his skills to come out on top against Rick Hutchinson 11-6 in the fifth.
Luda Cronin and Trevor Williams collected points from Banwell’s Bretherton and Skidmore, but Banwell ran out 22-16 winners.
C & C Banwell A’s young team fought well against the more experienced Vets C. Taking points from John Barcham and Len Noble, Alex Chandler won one leg from Gary Evry. Banwell’s Chandler and Skidmore came close in the doubles, losing narrowly 8-11 in the fifth. Vets won 28-13.

Rebels’ Mike Baker (6) against Hannah Cope (12) was an exiting finish, Baker taking it 17 and 20 to give Rebels a 5-4 win.
In Group B, Vets C won a narrow 5-4 victory over top of the group Totterdown Demons, just managing to keep ahead until Gary Evry (10) clinched the result by beating Jason King (4). Top scorer was Demons’ Graham Cheeseman (3) with three, though losing one game each to Evry and Mark Treasure (11).
Two wins by C & C Vipers’ Bill Atkinson (-1) and Beth Atkinson (7) over C & C Banwell A’s Alex Chandler (13) and Katy Groom (15) got Vipers off to good start, reversed by Jack Brent (11) in the third beating Max Jeremiah (3).
