THE ‘Cases’ Somerset Rebels launch their 2012 campaign with their press and practice day on March 16.
The afternoon session is for media, sponsors, season ticket holders and specially invited guests and is due to commence at 3pm. The gates open for the general public at 5.30pm, ready for the evening practice session, which will see the riders take to the track from 7pm.
For Somerset team manager, Steve Bishop, the Premier League looks to be an open affair this year, but one that he feels could see the Rebels challenging for honours.
He said: “Of course it would be daft to say that I think we can win this and that, when a wheel hasn’t even been turned yet, but I feel that we have a line-up that has all the right ingredients to be challenging with the best of them for honours.”
