Somerset Rebels destroyed the Sheffield Tigers to remain top of the Premier League.

SOMERSET Rebels remained in top spot in the Premier League after romping to their biggest win of the season against the Sheffield Tigers.
The Rebels won 63-28 at the Oaktree Arena with their top five riders only dropping two points between them.
Despite the scoreline, the Rebels were made to work hard for their points in many of their heats.
Alex Davies top scored for the Rebels and his performance earned him a rider of the night award from the match sponsors, Diversey, Bunzel and the Regency Purchasing Group. On top of that, he also received a £250 award from the Somerset Riders’ Equipment Fund.
The Rebels will close out their regular league season tomorrow night (Fri), against the Workington Comets.
The Rebels have confirmed that the home leg of the League Cup semi-final against Newcastle will take place at the Oaktree Arena on September 19, with the usual start time of 7.30pm. The second leg will be staged at Newcastle’s Brough Park on September 30.
