THE Cases Somerset Rebels will be hoping it will be a case of third time lucky as they try to stage their Christmas Cracker meeting, sponsored by Salt Express, tomorrow evening (Fri).

The original meeting on December 28 was called off a day in advance due to torrential rain, with the re-staging on January 18 falling victim to heavy snow.

“We are hoping for third time lucky come next Friday’s attempt to get the meeting underway,” said meeting co-ordinator Garry May. “We have tried to stay loyal to the riders that were due to ride, but a few changes have been forced upon us.

“Firstly the Wright brothers, James and Charles, are on holiday, while Steve Worrall will also be away. So we have managed to secure the services of Kevin Doolan and Rusty Harrison, together with Andrew Tully to complete the line-up.”

The revised line-up for the meeting now reads: Ricky Ashworth (Berwick), Ben Barker (Ipswich & Birmingham), Lewis Bridger (Lakeside), Kevin Doolan (Leicester), Ryan Fisher (Peterborough), Richard Hall (Sheffield), Rusty Harrison (Workington), Ritchie Hawkins (unattached), David Howe (Scunthorpe), Lewis Kerr (Leicester & King’s Lynn II), Simon Lambert (Rye House), Ashley Morris (Workington & Dudley), Kyle Newman (Somerset), Lewis Rose (unattached), Jacob Thorssell (Wolverhampton), Andrew Tully (Newcastle).

Fans are reminded that the rider parade will commence at 7.10pm, with heat one getting under way at 7.30pm.
