Woodland Tennis Club saw a record turnout for its autumn coaching programme.
WOODLAND Tennis Club started its autumn coaching programme on Saturday in style when an amazing 31 under-9s turned up just for the starter group session.
After a few relay races to get everybody warmed up, the children soon got busy working on their forehands and backhands.
Coach Viv Barber said: “Today saw a record turnout of our youngest players. It is lovely to have so many enthusiastic young tennis players at the club.”
The club has three junior sessions on a Saturday morning, catering for players aged four to 16. For more information on the club and its activities, please contact Judy Cannon on 01934 629819 or visit the club’s website at www.woodlandtennisclub.co.uk
