RENZ-Christian Vallejera has been re-selected for the England judo squad after some good recent results.
Renz (14) a student at Churchill Community Foundation School, has been re-selected for the England judo squad and is ranked seventh in the UK.
He took up the sport in 2006 and has trained with a number of clubs in the area, but mainly with the IBC Sakura Bana Judo Kwai of Weston and BJA Tora Judo Kai of Pill.
Renz, who is a member of the South West area squad of the International Budo Council (IBC), has been a national champion for three years running.
The British Judo Association (BJA) is the UK governing body and Renz is a member of the Somerset judo squad and has represented the West of England at the British Championships in the last three years.
He has also recently had successes in the Welsh Open Championships in Cardiff (bronze), Heart of England Championship (bronze), gold at the Devon/Cornwall Open Championships, gold and a bronze at the Irish Open Championships and gold at the Gloucestershire Open.
