A replay will be needed after the Somerset Rebels and Edinburgh were locked at 90-90 after two legs of their Premier League Knockout Cup semi-final.

THE Somerset Rebels and Edinburgh have to replay their Premier League Knockout Cup semi-final after a 90-90 draw over the two legs.

Both sides won 49-41 at home and with Somerset trailing in the final race of the second leg at Edinburgh, Jason Doyle managed to force his way past Theo Pijper to force a draw.

The Rebels had their two new reserves Charles Wright and Lewis Rose making their debut in Scotland, having been signed as replacements for Stefan Nielsen and Simon Lambert.

For the Rebels, Nick Morris top scored with 12+1, well backed up by Doyle with 9+2, Wright 9 and Josh Grajczonek with 8+1.

After last week’s epic cup semi-final against Edinburgh, it is a return to Premier League action for the Rebels on Friday, with the visit of the Berwick Bandits to the Oaktree Arena.
