In the Renegades v Totterdown Revolutions match, Barry Lewis and Neil Clements were at an immediate disadvantage with no third player, but both managed to beat Renegades' David Williams and Trevor Jones. Both lost to Garry Cattermole which left Revolutions a point down at the doubles. However, they proved the stronger pair winning in three from Cattermole and Williams to level the match five each.

Walton Wanderers and Vets B also had a drawn match. A close one only settled by the doubles. Wanderers' Bill Bruton, the only one to win all his matches, conceded first and third games to Peter Butterworth. With Jon Codd's win over Davies, Vets were in a strong 5-4 position at the double, but Bruton and Davies had the edge in five close games over Butterworth and Codd to level the match five-all.

A good result for Rebels with a 9-1 win over Totterdown C. Totterdown fought hard with high scoring games, Garry Chell unlucky to lose out 12-10 in the fifth game against Rebels' Rob Hansen. Mile Cross took a leg from Mike Baker and one from Hansen.

Winsc Wayfarers' Rich Parker and Phil Yates were set a tough task with just the two of them against the strong Vets A team. Yates has improved since his venture into the first division, but Parker with his unique style took a point from Ann Sandford. Vets won 9-1.

There were some close hard fought games in the Division 2 match between Winsc Warriors and C & C Banwell. The Banwell team having to work hard for their 25-14 win.

Martin Cope, three straight, had close legs with Warriors' Anne Baker. Jade Cope, also with three, found Baker and Dave Parker tough opponents, needing all five games to defeat them. Hannah Cope beat Margaret Parker 11-6 after five close games.

There was a successful start to their New Year fixtures for Totterdown Flamingos, winning 23-16 over C & C Cobras.

Top scorer for Flamingos was Nigel Andrews, three singles with the loss of one game to John Barker. Roger Bowden had wins over Andrea Monk and Barker, losing out to Cobras top scorer Rick Hutchinson after five close games. The doubles also a close contest won in the fifth game by Andrews and Bowden from Hutchinson and Barker.

Winsc Warriors, playing a postponed fixture against Walton Village found the Village team too strong. Matthew Fligelstone, Michael Elliot and Andrew Paisey won all their singles, Elliott was undefeated, the other two conceding games against Anne Baker and Cath Smith. Baker and Smith won one game in the doubles against Fligelstone and Elliott as Village won 30-7.
