ROBBIE Gallier was on stunning form at the weekend as he broke yet another record, being the only Honda Cadet driver to ever win consecutively seven times at the South Wales tack, Llandow, which is near Bridgend.

He set fastest times in free practice on the Saturday and was able to get the ultimate wet set up. The conditions were difficult for the team as the weather was so unpredictable, having to change the set-up six times.

Going into race day the weather was as unpredictable as Saturday; Robbie has a tremendous record in wet races and was hoping for a wet day. In the three heats Robbie was on form as the conditions stayed damp if not always soaking wet, winning the Honda Cadet class in all but one heat also taking fastest lap in two of them.

This qualified Robbie on pole for the final, with the sun coming out and the track drying fast it was going to be a difficult call on tyres and set-up. In the end the team changed to full wets and adjusted the pressures accordingly, knowing he had to go for it from the start.

Robbie had two close calls as he drove superbly to keep the kart on the track, slipping back to second briefly, he led again from lap two to pull out a 12-kart length and full second lead over Ross Chell to take a most convincing win, fastest lap and maintain his championship lead. Robbie is next in action the last weekend of May at Mansell Raceway, Dunkeswell in Devon.
