LYMPSHAM karting star, 12-year-old Robbie Gallier ,after a great run of four consecutive outright wins, has been rewarded with an invitation to visit the Brawn GP team at their headquarters in Brackley near Silverstone.

LYMPSHAM karting star, 12-year-old Robbie Gallier ,after a great run of four consecutive outright wins, has been rewarded with an invitation to visit the Brawn GP team at their headquarters in Brackley near Silverstone.

Brawn GP were made aware of Robbie and his tremendous achievements since taking up karting by Trevor Hawkins, managing director of Permashine, who are a supplier to Brawn GP. Trevor accompanied Robbie to Brawn and due to his relationship with the team they were given a one-on-one tour of all facilitates including off limits areas. Robbie was talked through the complete construction of the cars and how team analyses its competitors' performance to help keep Brawn leading the F1 championship.

Robbie met many of the key back-room staff that not only keep the cars on top form, also meeting the dietary and fitness coaches who will be forwarding a diet and fitness plan to Robbie.

One of the favorite parts of the visit was being allowed in to the normally off-limits trophy room and having a memento of the day made before his eyes in the engineering department, where they made and engraved a key ring for him.

Robbie said: "It was a great day and thanks go to Trevor for making it all happen and it is great they want me to keep in touch on a regular basis. It really makes me want to be the best I can in the sport.
