Weston’s Robbie Sweeting picked up the Celtic kickboxing title in Chippenham to add to his growing collection.

Kickboxer Robbie Sweeting picked up the Celtic kickboxing title in Chippenham to add to his growing collection.

Robbie travelled to Chippenham, with head coach Lewis Mulhall and corner team James Duncan, to fight on the highly prestigious WCA open air show.

Robbie faced an older, heavier and more experienced opponent in Harvey Keane from Wales. The fight was over four rounds with Robbie picking up a unanimous decision and crowned the new Celtic champion.

The 11-year-old trains and fights out of Weston’s successful and longest-serving martial arts and boxing gym, Warrior Gym, which is situated upstairs of Flex Fitness Academy in Worle.
