SNOOKER'S most popular star is heading to Weston for a one-off exhibition on October 14 - and says he can't wait.
Ronnie O’Sullivan is a three-time world champion, and will be facing Maltese cueman Tony Drago in an exhibition at Allstars Sports Bar in Regent Street.
The pair will play a nine-frame match, before members of the audience are invited to join them for a doubles challenge.
Drago also plans to thrill spectators with his renowned trick shot display.
Fans’ favourite Ronnie told the Mercury: “I’m really looking forward to visiting Weston and seeing all my fans in that part of the world.
“It will be great to visit the new Allstars Sports Bar too.
“I’ve had many great matches with Tony over the years and look forward to a fun and exciting night of snooker.”
The event – backed by the Mercury, car-maker Vauxhall and Somerset cider firm Thatchers – could also see a big charity windfall.
Vauxhall has vowed to donate a £10,000 car to the Against Breast Cancer cause if Ronnie bags a maximum 147 break.
Allstars owner Pete Wallington said: “This is a superb twist to the evening and we are hoping Ronnie can do the break for such a worthy charity.”
And he added: “Ronnie is one of the biggest names in snooker, and to bring him, along with Tony Drago and Michaela Tabb to our bar, is quite an accolade.
“At least two audience members will be randomly picked on the evening to play in a game of doubles with the stars.
“Obviously there are plenty of people who would love to actually compete in a game with one of the stars as a partner, so we wanted to include this aspect for the audience.
“After this event, we will be looking to bring other stars to the venue.”
The exhibition will be held on October 14, when doors will open at 6.30pm – and tickets are expected to sell out quickly.
You can book yours – at a cost of £40, or £90 for a VIP ticket – by calling All Stars on 01934 419111.
* The Mercury’s competition to win VIP tickets for this event was won by Leighton Hislop, of Landemann Circus, Weston. Congratulations Leighton.
