A lack of power saw Langford racing driver Roger Orgee drop points in the Formula Ford Championship at Castle Combe.

LANGFORD racing driver Roger Orgee needed to win at Castle Combe in his Weston College Formula Ford to regain the championship lead.

Qualifying was fierce between the top drivers and the positions constantly changed throughout the session, but Roger ended up on the second row of the grid.

As the lights changed, the first four cars all made excellent starts and Roger was fighting to pass the third-placed car and catch the leaders.

Unfortunately, his car developed a broken electrical lead, which led to loss of power. However, Roger worked out as the gauges were showing normal, the car could continue and gain some points.

By keeping going, Roger ended up a disappointed 11th place, but only dropping 10 points from his opponent for the championship, still holding on to an overall second place.
