Roy Lucas was the winner in Mendip Spring Golf Club’s senior section’s away day at The Kendleshire.

MENDIP Spring seniors’ section chose the Kendleshire Golf Club for their away day.

Over 40 senior golfers attended the event which was played in fine weather on an enjoyable course. Winner on the day was Roy Lucas, who beat Mike Egan on countback. Third placed golfer was Bob Rischmiller, who pushed Tom Papathomas into fourth place on countback. Nearest the pin winner was Pat Brown.

Mendip Spring was pleased to host the Somerset Ladies’ County Golf Association’s first county junior event of the season. This 18-hole Stableford competition was well attended and produced some impressive scores with six girls carding 39 points or higher.

Overall winner was Becky Ager from Wells, with Mendip Spring’s Davina Xanh the runner-up. A number of Mendip Spring lady members were on hand to help out on a successful day.
