Hornets drive off with new club sponsor

Hornets Rugby Club announced a new club sponsor for their third season in the National League.

With the new season rapidly approaching, Hornets are pleased to announce the first new club sponsor for their third National League campaign.

The club this year will receive generous sponsorship from Drive Vauxhall - Weston-super-Mare. A business located in sight of the Hornets ground providing a product which will be of great interest to the Hornets membership and visiting supporters.

In announcing the new sponsorship deal, general manager Allen Thomas, said: “We are delighted and proud to be involved in sponsoring Hornets Rugby Club. It is a great opportunity for us to be fully involved in the heart of our local community.

“I would like to thank everyone involved in making this come together and we look forward to working in partnership with the club for the next three years.”

In reply, Paul Davidson, Hornets Club President, who has been instrumental in bringing the partnership together, said: “We are extremely pleased to secure Drive Vauxhall as the club’s sponsor for the next three seasons and hopefully beyond.”

“This partnership will allow us to supply new match shirts to all teams within Hornets, from the under-6s right the way through to the senior sides. The Drive logo will be displayed prominently on the front of the shirts.

“It is exciting times at The Nest, with the club continuing it commitment to youth rugby in the town, with a view to maintaining and building on their status as a National League club.

“This status will soon be enhanced further as the construction of the new fully floodlit artificial grass pitch gets underway, a facility that will benefit all playing members of the club and enhance sports facilities for the local community.”
