Hornets Under-12s ended their season with two wins from their four games played at the Weston Festival.

On the back of a fantastic comeback win over London team Saracens, the Hornets started their day against Swansea's Varde.

But a spirited disaply saw the under-12s full short in a 4-2 defeat.

The next game saw the youngsters again defeated, when they lost two tries to nil to Winscombe.

A break followed which rejuvenated the Chargers helping them score eight unanswered tries against Bristol Harlequins before coming up against long time competitors and hosts Weston.

A thrilling first half saw the Hornets score five tries before adding another in the second half as they ended their festival with a 6-2 win.

A spokesman said: “A fantastic way to end a great season. The Chargers have all shown great passion, commitment and determination.”
