WESTON Rugby Club's Misfits returned to Portugal where they played 1st Division side Vilamoura Rugby Club, who were a mix of Eastern Europeans, locals, ex-Brits and they provided strong opposition for the Misfits on their 15th tour. The first half ended with Vilamoura leading 19-12. Jarad Collard scored a converted try, but the highlight was Ben Cradock's 90-metre burst to touch down the opening score. After the interval, despite the 90 degree heat, the game continued at a fast pace. Jason Felts jinked his way over, followed by a score by Paul Redman, which was converted by skipper James Press. In the last 10 minutes, the tourists' efforts faded and the hosts eased to a comfortable 54-26 victory. The Misfits are grateful to the following for making this successful tour happen: Smiths Hotel (main sponsor), C3 Ltd, St Anthonys Nursing Home, Collard & Co, EJ McGrath Building Services and all those who gave freely of their time.
