Hornettes ladies rugby team held their end of season presentation evening to round off a successful season.

HORNETTES ladies rugby team held their end of season presentation evening to round off a successful season.

The team, which was started four seasons ago, has just ended its second season in the league and finished fourthth in the main league and then went on to win their play-off league.

The trophies awarded were - coaches’ player: Kim Hixson; most improved: Lou Watson; players’ player: Emma Small; endeavour: M-J Jenkins; club person: Jenny Cockayne.

The Hornettes would like to thank their sponsors, Autowholesale and The Oak & Glass for their continued support, club sponsor DAS who supplied the match shirts and Mark Tabrett for his photography.

Pre-season training will start in June and any ladies aged 18 or over who are interested in getting fit and having fun should contact Sinead Boys on 07792 137661.
