Weston Rugby Club is looking for more girls to join the club and is holding another Roses training session.

Weston Rugby Club held its first Weston Roses girls’ training session on Sunday.

The club already has a number of girls playing mixed rugby up to the Under-11 age group. After this the club currently has no girls’ section so they need to leave.

There has been a huge amount of interest from the girls currently playing mixed rugby from Under-7s to 11s who want to continue to play for Weston.

Fourteen girls came along on Sunday which was all about having fun, making new friends and all had a great time training with the club’s qualified and talented coaches.

The girls can create good bonds together as they move up the age groups to be ready for the future all-girls team.

The next Roses training session is on December 2, (noon-1pm). Girls in all age groups welcome whether they play currently or just want to try something new. A warm welcome awaits them at Weston Rugby Club.
