Yatton under-16s attack against Weston

Yatton under-16s lost to their Weston rivals in a game of two halves on Sunday.

They began well, but paid the price for a number of handling errors as Weston ran in six first-half tries to build a 40-5 lead.

Cam Fogg dived over for Yatton's try before the break but they conceded again early in the second half, before a change in fortunes.

Man of the match Ben Dooner crashed over for their second try, after some fine work by the forwards.

And Yatton crossed again soon after as their forwards won turnover ball at a ruck and moved upfield before the ball was spun wide to Josh Moss, who ran a superb angle to scythe through the Weston defence and touch down under the posts, with Connor Kane adding a conversion.

Weston hit back for their second try of the half and, as Yatton kept pushing in search of more rewards, they completed their 59-17 victory with their ninth try of the day from the last play of the match.
