Yatton Rugby Club has applied for planning permission from North Somerset Council to build a car park for its junior sports pitches.
The club has moved its junior facilities at North End towards Clevedon to free up land for a housing development.
It has struck a deal with the owner of Brick House Farm to create a gravel car park for parents and spectators.
In its application to North Somerset Council, the club said: “The land will be used for rugby on Sunday mornings on no more than 28 occasions throughout the year.
“As rugby is a winter activity, some hard standing is required during wet periods.
“It is also important to provide a safe pedestrian access from the pavement opposite the Bridge Inn to the playing areas.
“The car park will be in use for around two hours at a time.”
