Weston Athletic Club dominated the field at the Clevedon Midsummer 10k race, with more than 60 club members taking part in their distinctive yellow vests.

Conditions were hot and calm, and the notorious fast, flat course gave runners their best chance at finishing their quickest race over the distance. And 33 of the club’s members did just that, earning themselves new personal bests.

First club male and female were Chris McMillan and Nia Davies. Chris finished fourth overall in 32.31, while Nia finished first in her category in 43.36.

Second club female was Hannah Moore in 46.22, followed by Carol O’Leary in 47.34. Carol was also the fastest finisher in her category.

Second and third club males to finish were Kieron Summers in 33.59 and Ian Connock in 35.49, both earning new personal best times in the process.
