WESTON-SUPER-MARE’S FA Trophy clash with Wealdstone tonight (Tuesday) has again been called off due to a waterlogged pitch at the Woodspring Stadium.
It is the third time the game has fallen victim to the weather and will now be rescheduled for January 5, kicking off at 7.45pm.
Weston’s next home match will now take place on December 28 versus Oxford City but they first face a trip to fellow strugglers Hayes & Yeading United on Boxing Day during a crucial Christmas period.
Ryan Northmore’s side are in great form in the league, unbeaten in their last four Vanarama National League South games in a run that saw them climb out of the drop zone. The Seagulls last tasted defeat on November 14 in a 1-0 loss to high-flying Gosport Borough.
On Saturday, striker Scott Wilson’s 72nd minute strike earned Weston a point at home to Bishop’s Stortford. The Seagulls might have taken all three but for a host of spurned chances.
