East Huntspill recorded their second successive victory in the Weston Property Job Midweek Cricket League.

In Division 1 of the Weston Proper Job Midweek Cricket League, East Huntspill recorded their second successive win with a seven wicket win over Athletico.

Jermaine Jones scored 52 in Athletico’s total of 147, with S Gatehouse taking 4-16 and L Holmes 3-30. Matt Edwards led the reply with 50 as Huntspill picked up maximum points.

Lympsham Allsorts’ Jamie Howson continued his fine start to the season with an innings of 86 against East Huntspill. I Holmes was the top scorer with 59 as Huntspill totalled 130-8 with A Peters taking 2-20, before Howson saw his side to a five wicket win, with Rob Pomeroy picking up 3-28.

In Division 2, The Presidents match against the Parpagon Carriers ended in the narrowest of victories for the Presidents. Batting first they scored 132-5 with A Platt making 38. Bilal Raja led the reply with 51, but the Carriers finished one run short on 131-8, with S Price taking 3-23.

Another close match between Uphill Castle and Cleeve finished in Uphill’s favour. Batting first, Uphill lost early wickets, mainly to James Cole-3-21, before Sam Frost with 67 not out and Jake Llewellyn with 60 not out, helped them to 151-4.

Cleeve could not quite keep up with the required rate and finished 14 run short on 137-9, Sam Wilson making an undefeated 49 and Sam Matthews taking 3-27, Matt Davis 2-22 and Tom Miller 2-35.
