Uphill Castle 2nd XI slumped to a six wicket defeat at East Coker.
UPHILL Castle 2nd XI faced their fourth away game on the trot when they made the long journey to East Coker.
After losing the toss on an unpredictable wicket, Castle were asked to bat and got off to a slow start. Wickets tumbled and castle slumped to 44-9 until the last pairing of George Chapman (11 not out) and young debutant Jack Biggs (14), put on 27 for the last wicket to make the final score 71
East Coker lost an early wicket to the bowling of Simon Webster (1-15). Other wickets fell to Kearsey (1-15) and Chapman (1-10), but the home reached their target with the loss of four wickets.
Autosmart man of match was George Chapman.
