Weston Karate Club held its latest grading session at Hutton Moor Leisure Centre.

Weston Karate Club members worked hard during the summer to prepare for the latest grading session.

The day started with an hour’s pre-grading training, in which children and adults alike are put through a brief refresher on what they need to know for their grading.

During the grading, several students stood out to the examiners by their marked improvement and general self-motivation shown on the day.

It is normal to pick out at least two students for their improvement and it was more difficult than usual due to the overall standard being so high.

Finally, Bartosz Glogowski and Jacob Summers were chosen for their confident display of karate knowledge when challenged.

New beginners’ sessions are starting now. For further information about karate, contact Kevin or Michelle on email: or telephone 01934 624713.

Alternatively, pop in to Hutton Moor on Mondays or Wednesdays from 7pm. You can also visit their website /fb westonkarateclub
